Timeline troubles..

Around 2 billion people use Facebook on daily basis and 4.5 billions likes and comments are generated daily. This makes Facebook topper of the list among the social networking sites.

There are certain amount of people who back up Facebook saying that it is used to share valuable information and connects people around the world. However, There is also an other side of coin where it is utilized for unsocial causes. Whatever the facts are, Some may like it some may hate it but definitely some one can never ignore it.

I personally have an account and also an active user over there. Earlier it was very simple and well utilized platform but as days are passing by it has many unnecessary updates on my timeline. There might be various reasons but the fact is that i have to go through a number of hurdles in between to see some posts which actually make sense. Some of them are listed below

• I have to like Flag photo which is shared by some unknown group to prove am "True Patriot"
• I have to Share an image of a Hindu God to get a good news in 5 minutes.
• I have to Comment "Amen" so that Jesus will help the child fighting cancer.
• I have to find name of Allah in some cloud form and then comment as soon as i find it.
• I have to Like/Comment if am a specific celebrity fan and share it to prove am "Die hard fan"
• I have to Find an answer of a puzzle in 5 seconds , to prove myself am a genius.
• I have to share a post of an open garbage bin till it reaches Chief Minister.
• I have to Ask someone by comments about his/her mental status as he/she expressed her feelings.
• I have to like my favorite celebrity pic in-order to make them win in some stupid competition of likes
• I have to watch a video of 4 minutes but that might even change my life

Virtual actions dominating Practical results

To be honest this is what i did and many people do on Facebook. If this is for once or twice i think it would be fine but this is happening over the years which is sad and the worst part is this is going to be continued also. This might not look good to read but this is what happening , if you stop for a second and check your profile you realize that this is what you was doing from years.

After a thorough understanding one can easily understand that people are doing this just to satisfy their ego and feel better about themselves by doing nothing.
Don't believe? Let me tell you an example,

There is a child who suffers from cancer and she need help. Lot of people find this news and share it again and again using their high end mobile phones but how many of them really donate some money to a child cancer care trust to save such children?. The answer is either one in a million or none. People just do it because just by sharing such image in timeline they feel like they have done something good to someone and sleep happily. Earlier people used to find happiness by helping people in any possible manner which yield result, but now many people are finding happiness and a reason to live by doing such simple and cost free acts.

If you observe the above mentioned acts you realize that you dont really have to

• Like an image of flag to be true patriot rather you can show it in acts by saluting flag when you see it,
• Comment "Amen" to let Jesus know about it rather help the child directly if you can
• Share a Hindu god pic to get some good news, rather you can do good deeds to get such news.

So on, there are lot many things you can actually do instead of simply escaping by liking or sharing an image. Stop, Think and realize what you were doing and what actually you can or you have to do.
