Morality is a fear or courage?
The
greatest tragedy in mankind’s entire history may be the hijacking of morality
by religion - Arthur
Morals define personal character and refer to the
beliefs that a person practices when he interacts in personal and social
relationships. The conduct exhibited by the person in personal-social behaviors
gives a correct evaluation of his morals. Morals identify the way a person
lives. Ethics are the codes or standards of conduct expected by the group to
which the individual belongs.
Nietzsche argues that a great many people have
had causes and effects mixed up for “every single case” for many years. Is it
not more likely that Nietzsche has mixed them up just now. A child cries
because he is hungry, he is not hungry because he is crying. Likewise, he is
full because he has eaten, he has not eaten because he felt full.
G .K. Chesterton quoted, “I say that a man must be certain of
his morality for the simple reason that he has to suffer for it,” and although
I do not completely understood my own morality, I know I did not create it
alone. For example, my parents illustrated the importance of kindness and
finding my own personal beliefs about God. Additionally, my friends have taught
me to not take small problems too seriously. Moreover, attending private school
has caused me to trust in the safety of the world around me....
Humans
have lost patience and have become selfish in their motives and hence ethics
and morals have declined and lost value in their lives.
If we want to see a society that has a very low crime rate
and where all humans can live safe, we have to look into the morals and the
ethics that our sculptures and religious masters preach. We have to take the
responsibility of making our society and in turn our earth a beautiful place
where all humans can live a life of respect and dignity with no fears in their
mind.
In the realm of IPods, text messaging, video chatting, online
video games, and email, what does the average teen think about morals. Are the
students of this generation receiving the moral support they need from their
parents, schools, and community members. Should these entities even be involved
in helping to develop students morality??
“Man is a moral being, only because he lives in
society. Let all social life disappear and morality will disappear with it” –
Emile Durkheim The statement that has been put forward by Emile Durkheim is
valid in many ways, and I do believe it is agreeable. A person’s character or
the guidelines that lead him through life are impacted by society. Not only are
we put on a certain path by society, but we are set out to achieve the
perception of what is truly right.
Life comes with many questions. Everyone has their own
wonders, but there are many of the same questions that are asked numerous
times. One that crosses the minds of nearly everyone is, “Why am I the way that
I am?” The answer to this question is morality. Morality is the reason we act,
think, discriminate, and speak; it is what distinguishes right from wrong. Some
believe that morality comes with birth, and others believe that it is taught by
parents and surroundings.
